In my spare time (not that I have lots of it), I have continued composing, playing, and re-visiting music. And even though I know there’s no audience clammering for my latest musical offerings, I enjoy the process.
So, here’s a brand new orchestral piece and an old song re-done.
I wrote The Girl With The Broken Heart whilst recording 707’s third album. So, that places it circa 1981. I really didn’t feel it was right for the band. But, the guys liked it. We demo’d the song and it wound up on the CD release of the The Bridge. In those days, it was a guitar ballad. Now, it’s an orchestrated heartbreak song.
Meanwhile, the other piece was just mixed this morning. It’s another composition for no reason than the joy of making stuff up. It doesn’t even have a title, beyond “Fm Progression.” But, it’s upbeat, fun, and hopefully listenable.
